There is more than just sound in this improvement. The air flow of the Hyper-Flow X-Pipe for the Ferrari 550 is so much better than original center muffler there is really no comparison. You will see improved power and throttle response through the entire RPM range. We have even found that the Hyper-Flow X-Pipe offers improved low end torque and a more pleasing sound than other center muffler replacement pipes on the market (you can’t even call some of them x-pipes). Speaking of sound, if you still have the O.E. center muffler on your 550, do yourself the favor of a Hyper-Flow X-Pipe. You will experience the way Ferrari intended your V12 to sound (they removed this center muffler on the 575).
The X-Pipe’s unique three piece design allows for damage free (and much cheaper) shipping as well as easier installation. We also designed one and a half inches of length adjustment in it, so no matter which brand of rear mufflers you are using, you can now make the tips protrude through the valence just the right amount.
