Hyper-Flow Catalytic Converters offer your Ferrari maximum legal air flow for Maximum performance. Our stainless steel metallic core with its exclusive treating process easily out flows even the best ceramic units, while maintaining full OBD2 compatibility. Even 100 cell ceramic “race cats” are no match for Hyper-Flow converters. In most applications, our core is capable of more air flow than the factory pipe size allows. High efficiency catalytic converters are the key to high output and low exhaust emissions. They’ve been cursed, damned, gutted, removed and praised. And depending upon your priorities, they’re either the best or worst thing to happen to automobiles in the past 30 years. Since they first appeared on 1975 model year vehicles, catalytic converters have made a significant impact on both pollution and performance. Unfortunately, that impact hasn’t always been positive on both accounts. Owing largely to early designs, which were very restrictive, catalytic converters are widely viewed as horsepower killers. And while even the most free-flowing converter will increase exhaust back pressure, the effect on performance can be minimal.
That statement may seem to fly in the face of reality but catalytic converters have changed dramatically over the years. The first converters to find widespread usage were filled with pellets coated with precious metals. As hot exhaust gases pass over the pellets, (also called beads) their coating serves as a catalyst and instigates a chemical reaction intended to transform exhaust pollutants into harmless compounds. Specifically, when unburned hydrocarbons come in contact with platinum and/or palladium, the resulting oxidation process transforms them into carbon dioxide and water. Similarly, when carbon monoxide meets palladium and/or rhodium, the resulting oxidation process converts it into carbon dioxide.
Initially, catalytic converters addressed only hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. But oxides of nitrogen constitute another compound that fouls the air we breathe and in the early 1980s, rhodium, another catalyzing agent, was incorporated with the resulting converters being known as “three-way” because they address three, rather than two pollutants. Rhodium functions as a reducing, rather than an oxidizing agent. In “chemistry speak” that means it separates oxygen from a compound instead of adding oxygen to it. Consequently, nitrogen oxides are broken down into nitrogen and oxygen. However, oxygen is as fickle as Lady Luck and tries to dance with any available partner. In the exhaust stream, that’s usually carbon monoxide, which the footloose oxygen atoms convert to carbon dioxide.
Loose oxygen also combines with unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust stream, so they’re fully oxidized before exiting the exhaust pipe. In theory, with a properly functioning catalytic converter, and an optimized air/fuel ratio, all potentially harmful pollutants are converted to nitrogen, oxygen, or water vapor. However, a number of other compounds found in fuel and air don’t participate in the catalyzing process, and pass through the converter unchanged.

Warranty Overview
To apply for a warranty claim:
1. Carefully read the complete Limited Warranty below and determine if you are eligible to file a warranty claim.
2. Contact Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC and request a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA)
3. Return the converter in good condition, shipping prepaid, along with the reason for warranty, vehicle odometer reading and proof of purchase. Please include a short letter of explanation.
4. The RGA Number must be written clearly on the outside of the box. The shipment will be refused if not shipped prepaid with the RGA Number clearly marked on the outside of the box.
5. If a warranty claim relates to emission performance, proof of failure of an emission test (test results) should be provided. Furthermore, proof of the engine being tuned to the original manufacturer’s specifications and maintained in proper condition is also required.
The most common reasons Converter Warranties are voided:
1. The Limited Warranty Registration has not been completed through our web site (hyper-flow.com) or by mailing the enclosed card at the time of installation.
2. The vehicle is not properly tuned and maintained. (Raw fuel entering a converter will overheat the converter.)
3. The converter is modified, painted, coated, or plated. (Modifying a converter is also illegal. Coating, plating and painting can cause converter overheating.)
4. The converter is improperly installed or installed on a vehicle for which it is not cataloged.
5. The converter has been physically damaged, abused, or neglected.
Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC Catalytic Converter Limited Warranty
Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC warrants to the original retail purchaser that its Hyper-Flow Catalytic Converters have been designed and manufactured to meet EPA emissions reduction requirements for 2 years or 25,000 miles, when a vehicle is properly maintained. The stainless steel body including end pipes, and only those components, are separately warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles. Liability is specifically limited to the value of merchandise sold.
Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC will replace the defective converter provided the following conditions have been complied with: 1) The Warranty Registration has been properly completed through our web site or by mailing the included card to Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC at the time of installation. 2) The Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC Warranty Department is contacted. You will be given a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Number that is valid for 30 days. 3) The converter must be returned in good condition, shipping prepaid, along with reason for warranty, vehicle odometer reading and proof of purchase; the RGA Number must be written clearly on the outside of the box. Please include a short letter of explanation. The shipment will be refused if not shipped prepaid with the RGA Number clearly marked on the outside of the box. 4) If a warranty claim relates to emissions performance, proof of failure of an emissions test (test Results) must be provided. Furthermore, proof of the engine being tuned to the original manufacturer’s specifications and maintained in proper condition is also required. Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC reserves the right to make a determination as to the proper operating condition of such vehicle. Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC reserves the right to make the final determination as to whether the product is eligible for warranty.
This warranty is conditioned upon the converter being unmodified and properly installed on the vehicle for which it is cataloged and the vehicle being maintained in proper operating condition, with all vehicle emissions control equipment connected and operating according to the manufacturer’s specifications. The warranty does not cover components other than the Hyper-Flow catalytic converter. Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC assumes no liability for converter failure caused by engines improperly maintained or tuned, the used of leaded fuel, or physical damage. Converters that have been installed on vehicles with modified exhaust or modified emissions control systems are not warranted. Converters which have been modified in any way, including but not limited to, painted, coated or plated, or installed on a vehicle for which they have not been cataloged are not warranted. Other reasons the void the warranty include, but are not limited to, improper installation or maintenance (as determined by Bryan Performance Enterprises, LLC), misuse or abuse, negligenceüse in off-road and/or racing applications, alterations on the original design or unauthorized repairs.
This limited warranty is limited to the replacement of a defective converter. Not covered costs include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, parts, shipment costs, damage to other components and costs incurred due to downtime of vehicle.
